MAKE SURE YOU DO A MIRROR CHECK

We are so in a hurry in the mornings, struggling with the kids the dogs and don't forget the husband that we don't really pay attention to  some of the things we wear to work. We are not paying attention whicih could be inappropriate .  I can only talk about what I have experience and have been a perpetrator of  and that is not doing a MIRROR CHECK.. Because a lot of times I wore items that I thought made me feel good  but was not appropriate to wear to work. Now keep in mind, it all depends on where you  work..
.

Now as you can see this would not be appropriate to wear to a job working in the corporate world. Don't forget the shoes  even the outfit is awesome and sexy but it just doesn't go with the corporate world.

This is more like what you should wear from the hair down to the feet always look your best its the the way to success.

Now this would be a great outfit for the job.

Phat & Fabulous by Design

Phat & Fabulous by Design is a venture  Tonya Riley and myself really are working on to get it launched for women like us. We would like to inform women of all the avenues and all the opportunities that they can have despite what they look like, where they live and what they do for a living.
We encourage women to become entreprenuers in their own right. We understand that everyone is not wanting to be their own boss. If you do work for others, make it a great experience learn all you can and take that knowledge with you.
You can check us out on facebook  Phat & Fabulous by Design page like it.
Look forward to more information on this new venture.

What about Business + Black women+Power+High Earnings

I WANT TO BE MY OWN BOSS

I started on my journey on being my own boss truly by accident. You probably say why was it by accident.
Well, at the time, I was a single parent and just out of the military and needed extra money so I would buy things from yard sales and then resale them at the weekly flea market across from Ft. Campbell in Kentucky. My son would be right there with me to sale his toys. We did this every weekend. I learned several lessons from that. First, was that I COULD SELL people really bought the items that I bought to get rid of. I would display them in a way that made people want to stop and look and then buy, second, I  taught my son the value of being  a salesman  I told him it was all about your presentation. Now it didn't stop there.

While living in Clarksville, TN. I was hired as a correction officer in Nashville I  had another great idea to do a baby sitting service in my house.  I had five kids that came to my house every day an hour after I got off work from the prison. All I did was put up a flyer at Wal-Mart and the local laundry- mats. It didn't stop there, I had a friend that his parents owned a flea market and his mother would give me items to sell. I would pack up my van and take them to work at the prison and sell them in the morning when I got off.

Now at the time, I truly was not a good money manager, I was still attempting to learn how to manage my money even with all the extra income let's not forget the overtime that I would take advantage of when I could. Struggling with my finances didn't help at all when I was trying to show my son a better life.

By now I should be rich right?  No. because I was not attempting to become rich, I was totally attempting to challenge my ability to be able to SELL anything.

Later years, I continued challenging myself, I tried Mary Kay, I tried Cutco Knives, I then was introduced to the computer, after learning how to operate one, I went crazy. I wrote my first book and then published myself, sold them then I continued to write. I dare not to stop there, I then opened a home business called Celeta's Gift and Treats where I sold home decor items, I then started designing and selling personalized greeting cards and then opened a small shop in a flea market. Then Power Nappies Pillows and blankets designed my own pillows and blankets. Let me not forget my two online businesses again selling used items on one and jewelry, clothing, wigs on another Trendishop.com for plus size women.

You might say now you are living the life,  I will tell you No. I am still not rich or close to it.
Because through all of this I was perfecting my craft. My craft to be able to sell to be the best saleswoman I can be. I WANT TO BE MY OWN BOSS. But I can't do it without knowing how to sell. During these spurts of learning the craft I had to keep my regular jobs. Because I was not that assured or confident in myself that I could quit and work strictly for me. Now keep in mind, the amount of money I spent to perfect my craft, don't think it was a small amount not by far.

I am now in my late forties and have I resigned to the fact that I will never  give up on the greatest opportunity to work for me in my own business. I will never stop learning new ways to create a extra income for myself and family.

The moral of the story is don't act like you know everything and you can't be taught something new even if you are rich and prosperous and your own boss.

Through my many endeavors I have learned many things that would help in my path to success.
On my journey I can truly say that through all my selling ventures I have met some wonderful people who taught me so much that I can be comforted to push on and accomplish anything I want.

As a college student I am still learning and meeting people that would be a positive impact in my life, as a talk show host and the owner of  Say Your Piece Radio Network an online radio station. I can take all I have learned continue to pursue my goals while becoming the best boss I can be.

LEARN ALL YOU CAN ABOUT THE CRAFT YOU WANT TO USE TO  MAKE YOU A SUCCESS IN LIFE.
